What is Wealth

What is wealth?
It is not the number in your account,
nor the titles you carry,
nor the things you can point to and call your own.
It is something deeper, something lasting.

Wealth is dignity.
The quiet strength in how you carry yourself,
the integrity you hold when no one is watching,
the confidence that does not seek approval,
the character that speaks before you do.

Wealth is happiness.
The steady joy found in simple moments,
the laughter that comes without effort,
the calm that settles in your mind,
the lightness you carry through your days.

Wealth is balance.
The wisdom to know when to strive and when to pause,
when to pursue more and when to embrace enough,
the discipline to manage both ambition and peace,
the awareness to live without losing yourself.

Wealth is experience.
The lessons learned through challenges,
the growth that comes from discomfort,
the stories that shape who you become,
the wisdom earned from living fully.

Wealth is contentment.
The ability to be at peace with where you are,
while still having the courage to grow,
the freedom from constant comparison,
the quiet satisfaction within your soul.

Wealth is peace.
The calm that exists within life’s storms,
the steady heart in uncertain times,
the clarity that quiets your thoughts,
the stillness that keeps you grounded.

Wealth is love.
The kind that gives without keeping score,
the presence that remains through difficulty,
the care that strengthens and uplifts,
the bond that time cannot break.

Wealth is family.
The people who know you deeply,
who stand beside you without condition,
who support you in every season,
who remind you that you belong.

Wealth is health.
The strength to live each day fully,
the energy to move and to act,
the clarity to think and decide,
the ability to show up for life.

Wealth is generational.
The values you pass on to others,
the discipline that shapes future lives,
the character that continues beyond you,
the legacy built through intentional living.

Wealth is forever.
The impact you leave behind,
the lives you touch along the way,
the difference that outlives your presence,
the meaning that continues beyond time.

Wealth is fulfillment.
The ability to look back without regret,
the confidence that you gave your best,
the peace that comes from living fully,
the quiet voice that says you have done well.

That is wealth.

Will History Remember?

I once heard the parrots in a neighbor’s main lobby whisper that legacy is for the blind. I tried to reason like I always do with species beneath human best intelligence. But then, I was so furious I want to get into the discussion and have a debate like one of them “fellas”.

The unthoughtful may choose to forget, the careless care less anyways, the hardened may block reasoning, or newbies become blind to the sacrifices of past heroes but history will never forget those who fought hard for what we all enjoy even if taken for granted. Time passes all and moments speed by our notice but history will always remember those who fought hard, not the chickens. (more…)

The Essence of Beauty

“Life is beautiful”…. Yea right! You got $1million in trust fund bequeath you, a nice country house and fast car to make you say that. Well, I am not about that, I’d wish I had those niceties but not in grasp. There is more to life than what flashes the eye or looks appealing to sight. Money does not buy happiness but can create what you fancy.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Recently I have noticed that what forms my reality is not what happens around me but what happens in me. Every day as I grapple with daily pecks of life’s challenges and survival, there are damning issues of life and my very tissues respond in complex altitudes. I bother sometimes, “why do I have to react that way”, “it wasn’t that bad after all”, “if only I had tried a little patience or tenderness”. These feelings buffet me and drains me of daily dose of joy. (more…)
