We Are In the Result Business José Mourinho

Jose and Eva

What do we make of Chelsea Football Club and the embarrassing poor run of the English premier league reigning champion in the 2015/16 season?

Couples of bad results and the pressure is on you to deliver. No one is paying you for drama at that stage but to deliver. When all you can do is find excuses for 7 losses in 12 games, then you know the spotlight is on you. The football association is not the problem, the referees are not the problem here nor the media. It is the manager and the players that are the main reason why a league champion would have the worst start in the premier league era.

At some point, I believe Roman Abramovich (Chelsea owner) has to have an honest discussion with Mourinho. This relationship is not working out, even if the fans wants you here but this is already a perpetual omen for the club. “You have everything at your disposal and we have find ourselves in this hot mess, I don’t think this is the kind of club I want to build”. Everyone is perplexed at the moment why José still have a job. Roman is known not to be this patient. Since 2004 Roman bought the club he has sacked 10 managers despite temporary dip in form from successful managers. (more…)

3 Emotional Truths

Emotional TorL

The pivotal seat of human senses is built in her emotional spectrum. The emotions each of us exhibit defines us. Our emotions flows from the sinews of our thoughts, how we process events and what we hope to either interpret, express or achieve by certain mode of actions. The concept of intelligence has recently shifted from the sole concept of academic prowess, street wisdom, technical developed skills or naturally in-grained talents; to emotional intelligence. Talent is not enough for would-be successful manager of people and life’s events. Life events can be predicted but the turn of events is a grey matter. So are people, they change, evolve and distort unannounced.

As we are all different people with different finger prints, so are our emotional configurations. We have folks with weak emotions, those with no emotions and the rest with strong emotions. Recognizing this fact helps you deal with people in different scenarios. A lot of people act on impulse while few take rational decision based on well driven thought process. This is highly impacted by each individual’s emotional configurations.

Victim of Facebook Love

Victim

According to Mozart ‘Love is the soul of the genius’. As Homo sapiens we were conceived from a love conjunction of two individuals that we call ‘birth parents’. We were made in love and live for love. We crave for love and had to share love ourselves. Love keeps the human race orbiting. The genius in us is being called out when we are arrested by the divinity of love.

Since we are birth by love, we daily seek love. Before the age of social media, we seek to satisfy this crave for love by being vocal about it and making our intentions known by different cues in popular culture.  In recent, the advent of technology has made the onerous task seem invincible where you can easily drive love by the number of text characters, type of emoticons and smileys in a person’s status update on a social media tool. 10 Things To Consider When Co-Leasing

coleasing

While starting a business and at the same time searching for a strategic location in the market you are looking for can be challenging. With the prices of property rising at the turn of each year, you wonder if it is possible to have a wall and brick location for your new business idea or non-profit.

Your business can be so many things but cannot afford to be far away from its intended niche. The more traffic you have, the better chance of turning a profitable venture or a fulfilling non-profit organization. However, for new business owners, a commercial lease is a daunting and herculean undertaking that requires inventive research and diligence.

I currently have the same challenge of getting a sizable location for a non-profit I chair. It dawned on me that I could do a co-lease with another non-profit since most of our programs runs in the evenings and weekend. That was how we got another non-profit to co-lease with us who are also looking for same opportunity. Below are some of the factors I considered;

I Am Running For President

Governance in the 21st century has become a playground for who has the ball rolling. There was a time in the world where we were all ruled by a sect. The selected few had to come from a given family name and history. It has nothing to do about the “best hand of rule” but the willful sovereignty of the sect. As the human race evolved through civilization and modernization, the Greek first demonstrated representative democracy in the 6th century as a political system of government.

Centuries past by, new world leaders have emerged from Egypt to Italy to England to Germany and now United States of America. Apparently as the lion of the western world, America has been characterized as the main proponent of democracy in the rule of nations. Concurrently we have a political system that is always ready to provoke change and challenge the norm. What could not have been possible in ages past is fast becoming living realities.

A man whose lineage charts from the shores of Kenya, an African country located on the equator with the Indian Ocean has become the leader of the free world. Obama currently presides over the lion of western world. He is the president, a very diplomatic terrain as the current world leader compared to steel and iron rule of Alexander the great, Julius Caesar, Napoleon and Hitler. With this undertaking, many have desired to ascend unto same throne. If Obama who could as well pass as a commoner in the empire days sit on throne, then it is an open playground for anyone who can get the ball rolling. (more…)

Will History Remember?

I once heard the parrots in a neighbor’s main lobby whisper that legacy is for the blind. I tried to reason like I always do with species beneath human best intelligence. But then, I was so furious I want to get into the discussion and have a debate like one of them “fellas”.

The unthoughtful may choose to forget, the careless care less anyways, the hardened may block reasoning, or newbies become blind to the sacrifices of past heroes but history will never forget those who fought hard for what we all enjoy even if taken for granted. Time passes all and moments speed by our notice but history will always remember those who fought hard, not the chickens. (more…)

The Essence of Beauty

“Life is beautiful”…. Yea right! You got $1million in trust fund bequeath you, a nice country house and fast car to make you say that. Well, I am not about that, I’d wish I had those niceties but not in grasp. There is more to life than what flashes the eye or looks appealing to sight. Money does not buy happiness but can create what you fancy.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Recently I have noticed that what forms my reality is not what happens around me but what happens in me. Every day as I grapple with daily pecks of life’s challenges and survival, there are damning issues of life and my very tissues respond in complex altitudes. I bother sometimes, “why do I have to react that way”, “it wasn’t that bad after all”, “if only I had tried a little patience or tenderness”. These feelings buffet me and drains me of daily dose of joy. (more…)

Celebrate Yourself

It was a sunny day in Japuta, an island north of the fossil mountains. There goes a young hunter named Nick arriving from a five days sojourn in the forest. He lived beside the dark forest which leads to the greenest meadows and gargantuan fountain with the purest water you ever found. But no one dare go through the dark forest except you are on a suicide mission. The forest in recent times became the dwelling of wild life including cat family, reptiles and bears. In the time past, it was not so. Most residents where farmers, hunters, scavengers and adventurers. They were able to create a formidable network of fighters and artisans who designed and built a path through the dark forest that no wild life can penetrate.

Nick as a young hunter is a descendant of the first chief hunter in Japuta. He possesses accurate marksmanship, steel, rugged and able to dissolve threat easily. He survives by hunting game, nuts, berries and rummaging the forest for vintage treasures. He was being courted by many young women. He often tells them story of his different conquests and how beautiful the pasture and fountain beyond the dangerous dark forest of Japuta. He alone goes into the dark forest and hunt as civilization made residents to turn back on such venture and thus, redirected their wards to western education. (more…)
